Wow what a meal. The host was just amazing, so friendly and accommodating. Even though we spoke very little Italian, we got the gist of the set course menu. And it was one of the best meals we had in Italy! The mushroom gnocchi was just amazing. The porcini mushrooms were so juicy we had never had anything like it before. A real highlight of our trip. The stuffed eggplant was so yummy, and the house wine was great. The price was just crazy, 57 euros for my son and I for a 3 course meal including wine.- Tipo di pasto

Excellent food at a reasonable price. We enjoyed an antipasti plate and pasta with porcini mushrooms in a light broth. Nearly everything is made by the proprietors.

Authentic Badolatese cuisine. Home cooking with 95% of ingredients all home produced - including the red wine, the pasta and the foraged mushrooms. Don’t expect a written menu or English translation - simply the limited menu described in Italian by your host Antonio. A great experience at great price. Grazie Antonio

Gorgeous! We had a fantastic lunch here at La Botte - with a fantastic 3 course meal served by a wonderful host! The interior of the building is simply gorgeous - with hints of authentic Calabria surrounding you in every way. Antonio serves amazing traditional Badolatese tipico in the superiore. Always fresh and prepared perfectly, a do not miss! The atmosphere is an old world experience that is very special and delightful. Step back in time here, enjoy the homemade wine, you are sure to be taken back by this experience as it’s an exquisite experience. Five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you Antonio, for your service.

Calabrian food. Lovely place just off the plaza at Badolato Borga. Difficult with the language, also because of very poor internet access. Doesn't close for the afternoon, unlike the others which close at 12:30.

We missed out on our lunch spot in Santa Caterina dello Ionio at it was pretty late when we left but we drove like a madman trying to get to Badolato before lunch service stopped and from what we gathered on Google Le Botte was our only hope. We arrived at the place at 14:10 and the kitchen was already shutting down but the proprietor after checking with his wife who runs the kitchen and short argument seated us. He told us we could have the special which was fresh pasta and porcini but had to be done in 30 minutes or less which suited us so along with a mezza of house wine we were pretty happy piggies munching on delicious bread slurping fresh pasta washed down by as many mezza as allowed. Many thanks for accepting some last minute hungry Canadian travelers and sorry for disturbing the peace between front of house and back but your meal was well appreciated and your amazing hospitality.- Servizio

Local, friendly, grat homemade pasta and homemade limoncello. What's not to love. Places like La Botte need to be supported.

Wonderful authentic experience! The owner was very friendly and service exceptional. We had delicious homemade pasta and afterwards stuffed aubergines simple but amazing.
